A complete investigation of an existing reinforced-concrete municipal building. Geometry, reinforcement and material properties were established through destructive and non-destructive testing, enabling comparative studies, Eurocode 8 assessment and a dependable design basis for the proposed replacement building.

A conservation-led structural investigation of the historic cinema combining visual survey, NDT and MASW testing, emergency stabilisation and nonlinear assessment. Assessment and redesign of a hybrid steel-glulam sports-hall roof after construction-stage changes altered its intended structural behaviour. Four upgrade strategies were compared before a stainless-steel rod solution was developed, documented and verified through a purpose-designed loading test.
